Laurie joined LOUIS in December of 2017. She brings 15 years of experience working with Louisiana state agencies. The majority of her career has been spent in the field of Records and Information Management. During that time she has gained experience in the development of taxonomies and records retention schedules, policy and procedure writing, public records, outreach, training, and project management.
Laurie obtained her undergraduate degree with a double major in English and Philosophy and a minor in History from LSU in 2000. In 2002, she graduated with a Master’s degree from the LSU School of Library and Information Science.
In her personal life, Laurie loves to read, spend time with her family, and travel. She aspires to be a better gardener and animal whisperer.
Laurie is very excited to be part of the LOUIS team. She has loved libraries since she was a child using a card catalog to discover new books and complete school research project. She is thrilled to work with the LOUIS team in the member services role.
