LOUIS works on the behalf of its members to leverage state-wide purchases in order to minimize the cost of these resources and maximize access.

This technology futher enhances a library's collection by enabling reciprocal borrowing and lending within the state, and globally.
Scholarly Content (Consortia)
The scholarly content provided by LOUIS supports the core curricula in all two and four-year colleges and universities. Content is selected based on recommendations from the Collection and e-Resources Interest Group.
Scholarly Content (Mini-consortia)
A ‘mini-consortium’ for electronic resources is created when two or more libraries come together to purchase a specific product based on similar needs.

Bloom's Literature
  • These resources are negotiated by LOUIS and purchased by the library.
Bloom's Literature has more than 200 additional full-length performance videos (bringing the total number to more than 400!), the full contents of more than 800 classic literary works, more than 190 books and a comprehensive Shakespeare Center including the full text of all of his plays.
