About Mark

Mark Witteman joined LOUIS in 2011. Since that time he has assumed primary responsibility for the configuration and maintenance of the SirsiDynix Symphony system. Mark has worked in library technology since 1994. Mark has worked as an Implementation Consultant at Innovative Interfaces, Inc; a Systems Programmer for Ruters University Libraries; a Team Leader and Senior Technical Adviser in customer support at Sirsi and SirsiDynix from 1999 through 2009; and later installed and supported RFID hardware and software in libraries for Bibliotheca. Mark has a Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and baccalaureate degrees in history and geography from the University of Oregon.

When he’s away from the office, Mark enjoys playing disc golf and playing the banjo. He bakes cakes or other sweets for LOUIS staff birthdays.
