About Cathy

While obtaining her degree from LSU, Cathy was a student programmer in LSU IT and quickly found her passion. Upon graduating in 1991, she was hired as a programmer and began designing, programming, documenting and supporting LSU’s Administrative Systems, including Admissions and Student Records. In 1995, she transitioned to LOUIS and began writing scripts to automate manual tasks, streamline processes, create custom reports and perform data conversions. She was the project lead when LOUIS migrated 30 college and university libraries from the NOTIS LMS to the SirsiDynix Symphony ILS. Cathy participates in and supports technical aspects and integration of the Library Services Platform (LSP). This includes strategic planning for infrastructure, architecture, security and disaster recovery; price negotiations and contracts; migrations, implementations and support. Cathy also writes custom programs to automate manual tasks, streamline processes, produce custom report data, and perform data conversion tasks.

Cathy has a passion for food and cooking! She loves LSU football (including tailgating!), spending time with her family, friends, and pets, and going to the beach!
